Module Overview

In this module, we introduce the conceptual underpinnings of machine learning methodologies and how they can sometimes inadvertently perpetuate bias and disparities in healthcare and public health contexts.

This module includes videos, readings, and two exercises:

• Create your own simple ML K-nearest neighbors classifier for a healthcare dataset

• Create a model that inadvertently perpetuates bias in the healthcare funding ecosystem
